CLEVELAND PLAIN DEALER Mrs Carothers of Shaker Dies A former Shaker Heights High School teacher Mrs Edith Seymour Carothers who made iatin and English literature ex citing for many a graduate of that school in 20 years died riday in Columbus She was 76 Mrs Carothers became ill while visiting friends there and was admitted to the Grant Hos pital Oct 31 Her home here was at 20855 Kinsman Road Shaker Heights Her son Carothers of Newbury Mass who is na tional sales manager lighting division of the Sylvania Elec tric Products Inc notified the Plain Dealer of Mrs death Survivors also include a daughter Mrs Henry Lawrie of Winnetka Ill and a nephew Dr Miner Seymour of Colum bus hate lost a very marvel ous person and a woman who was an outstanding teacher" said Principal Russell Rupp of Shaker Heights High School' Mrs Carothers taught at the school from 1933 until she re tired in 1953 Her pupils seldom forgot her and her instruction and she had fond memories of them Her son said she corres ponded with at least 200 of her boys and girls and remembered many birthdays The teacher was born in Groveport and was gradu ated from Ohio State Universi ty in 1904 She had been an ac tive alumna of that institution She was principal of a school in Columbus before coming to Cleveland in 1918 At one time she was principal of Bolton School here Mrs Carothers then retired to raise a family and then re turned to teaching assuming the Shaker post The funeral is to be at 11 am tomorrow in Lithopolis where she is to be buried Memorial services will be at 1 pm Tuesday in the Little Chapel of airmount Presby terian Church of which she was a member Mrs Samuel inesilver Mrs Samuel inesilver formerly active in many com munity and Jewish charitable activities in the Heights area died riday at her home 3889 Lansdale Road University Heights Her husband a real estate broker died in 1949 Bom here 58 years ago the former Ida Aiderman was graduated from John Hay High School and married at 20 She belonged to the Taylor Road Synagogue and was treas urer of the Jewish National Home in Denver Colo Surviving Mrs inesilver are a son rank president of the rank Chevrolet Co of Chardon a daughter Mrs Har ry Chester one sister and a grandchild Services will be at 3 pm today in the Berkowitz Kumin New Memorial Chapel 1985 South Taylor Road Cleve land Heights Burial will be in Mount Sinai Cemetery The family will receive friends at the residence of Mr and Mrs Harry Chester where Mrs inesilver made her home Louis Beinke Serivces for Louis Beinke for more than 50 years a teacher in Lutheran schools will be at 1:30 pm tomorrow at Christ Lutheran Church Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery Mr Beinke who lived at 5969 Chestnut Hill Drive Parma died at home riday He was SI He taught for 14 years at Trinity Lutheran Church School and also at St Luke Lutheran Church School He was a graduate of Teachers Seminary in Addison Ill His teaching career took him to Lutheran schools throughout the country Surviving him are two daugh ters Mrs Alma Lawrence and Mrs Carl Koepke and three sons The Rev Paul of La Grange Mo Luther and Adolph Street where friends may call today Mr McCune is survived only by his wife Carrie to whom he had been married 43 years Mrs Henry A Pauli Mrs Henry A Pauli last of a family which was among the first to settle in the Medina area died riday in her home or the last 40 years she lived at 2959 Weybridge Road Shak er Heights She was 96 Her ancestors the Miller family came to Medina before it was settled She was the former Jennie Belle Miller Her husbartd who died in 1903 was an early manufac turer of bicycles here Mrs Pauli is survived by her grandson George Mitchell Jr a granddaughter Mrs Clark Randt and five great grandchildren Graveside services tomorrow will be in Spring Grove Cem etery Medina Raymond ridrich Raymond ridrich father of Patrolman William rid rich died suddenly at work in the warehouse of the Lakewood Storage Co He had worked there 35 years including 27 years as a long distance driver His home was at 3010 Tampa A venue Brooklyn He was 64 Mr ridrich was born in Cleveland At the time of his death Thursday he was super intendent of the storage com pany warehouse Surviving him besides his son William are his wife Bernice to whom he had been married 48 years another son Ralph five daughters Mrs Agnes Reeves Mrs Evelyn moved to lorida Before that he had taught in dustrial arts at East Technical High School and Thomas A Edison School Mr Lees left his native Not tingham England in 1919 to come to Cleveland Chief among
