What Are the Best Job Websites for Truckers?

You have your CDL, but you don’t know where to start your career. Your place of business downsized and let you go. You hate your current position and want to work somewhere else. Whatever your scenario, here is our list of job websites and job boards for truckers to help you get started.

Whether you’re a new truck driver searching for jobs. Or a CDL driver looking for a company career. These sites have thousands of jobs and the tools to help you find a job.

General Trucking Job Boards

These trucking boards are not owned by a particular company and are used most often by smaller businesses. If you want to work on a more personal basis with your employer, these CDL job boards are the place to start looking. These job sites are great for CDL truck drivers looking for job openings.

Alltruckjobs.com

AllTruckJobs sells itself as “help[ing] connect qualified but hard to find candidates with truck driving jobs posted by some of the top employers…” The website allows you to search based on driver type, freight type, state/location of operations, by company, and more. Alltruckjobs.com also has directories for truck stops, driving schools, and companies.

CDLJobs.com

One of CDLJobs’ strongest perks is its simplicity. The website proudly boasts that using the website requires no usernames, no passwords, and no fees. The website also has a list of resources such as trip planning and a blog with driver tips.

JobsInTrucks.com

JobsInTrucks prides itself on being a top recruitment website for company drivers of well-established business, having job postings from the likes of the Army National Guard, Amazon, and Pepsico. The website requires logging in but is free to use for drivers; the company pays to have its posting listed.

HiringDriversNow.com

HiringDriversNow specializes not only in hiring of semi-truck drivers, but more niche markets such as bus drivers and even forklift drivers! Their website has a very robust form of advanced search, knowledge about specific driver types, and a monthly update of job fairs. Used by eighty of the largest trucking companies in the nation, including UPS and Knight Transportation.

TruckerClassifieds.com

TruckerClassifieds is revolutionary in its simplicity: simply enter your zip code and you are instantly shown all nearby jobs posted. You can then filter down further based on haul type, driver type, and more. Their website is much more than a trucker’s job board; it can also help you locate truck stops, driving schools, and trucking associations.

ClassADrivers.com

You can either search through ClassADrivers yourself or fill out their E-Z Application and the website will send your application to all relevant positions that fit your “driver profile”. Manual search also allows you to sort by criteria seldom seen on other websites: driver experience. Whether you have just obtained your license or have driven for years, this filter alone makes ClassADrivers a fantastic starting point in your search for a new employer.

Layover.com

A basic website that lists dry van jobs. It also provides tips for beginners such as how to pick a good truck driving school, as well as the various forms of CDL tests such as General Knowledge and Hazardous Materials.

EveryTruckJob.com

This website allows you to search based on driver type, equipment type, and route type. EveryTruckJob certainly lives up to its name, with over 200 different companies posting listings on the website.

Company Job Boards

If you have a particular company in mind, check to see if they have their own job board for hiring. The larger the company, the more likely they are to have their own website. Here is what we found to start.

Roehl.Jobs

Roehl offers various perks for experienced drivers and newbies alike, including (but not limited to) profit-sharing and short term income protection. Their website does not list specific jobs; you must enter your information and they will present what they deem to be a good fit for you.

SchneiderJobs.com

Schneider’s job website has an absolute plethora of job knowledge, not just providing jobs based on zip code, but also has various pages discussing different terms in employment contracts and other added perks of being a Schneider trucker such as gadgets for your truck. Beyond truckers, Schneider uses the website to hire other personnel such as mechanics and warehouse workers.

USXJobs.com

US Xpress offers the ability to quickly apply: simply fill out the basic application of eleven basic questions and they will show you what they have for you. Orientation locations, once you are hired, are located across the central and eastern United States, with lodging and transportation provided free of charge.

Popular Job Boards

The most popular job search websites are not designed specifically for truckers, but driving jobs are still often posted there, so they are worth a look. Use keyphrases like “Truck driver” or “CDL A” to find the best job that’s right for you. Be careful with these websites, as companies here tend to exaggerate the job data in order to get through more favorable filters (listed as no experience needed, then say in the description that you need 2 years minimum and 3+ preferred).

Indeed.com

Not just the most popular job search website, but one of the most popular websites in the world. Indeed allows you to filter based on location, company, type of job (full-time/part-time/commission), and experience level, to name a few.

Glassdoor.com

Glassdoor is known more for company reviews, but if you sign up for an account with them, you can use their website for a job search engine as well. Best of all, you can see the company reviews quickly before applying.

ZipRecruiter.com

ZipRecruiter has a cool “Suggested Jobs” tab. With it, you do a quick survey and the website shows you which job offers they have that fit your criteria. Beyond this, they have the old-fashioned method of searching the list of jobs by keyphrases manually.

Monster.com

Beyond the standard search engine, Monster has tools that any job seeker can use, such as salary negotiation workshops, resume help, and career advice. New jobs are posted daily in the trucking industry.

SimplyHired.com

Similar to Monster, SimplyHired has a bevy of tools that you can use to better market yourself to potential employers, including a free resume builder. Lists benefits right at the front of the job description to help you judge quickly.
